Indoor skating starting up

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – As the weather outside is looking more and more like winter, some winter-time activities are starting up.

The Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department will be offering indoor skating at the Odde Ice Center. Skating starts on Monday, Oct. 26. Gene Morsching, Recreation Superintendent, provides the details.

Skating hours are 3:45-6:15 p.m. Monday through Friday, 1:15-3:45 p.m. Saturdays, and 6:15-8:45 p.m. Sundays. Those skating on Saturday, Oct. 31 get in a free with a costume on Halloween Skate Day.

Parks and Rec is also offering skate lessons.

A Fall Photography Contest is also ongoing. Morsching is hoping people were able to shoot some nice fall colors before the weather turned.

One thing that won’t take place this fall is the annual Haunted Forest.
