PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- Inflation is creating another hurdle for Missouri Shores Domestic Violence Center as the victim’s shelter looks toward building a new, expanded House of Hope. Executive Director Sarah Reinhard says planning for the facility is over halfway.
With those plans comes a one-point-five million dollar increase in costs for the House of Hope.
Reinhard says downsizing the plans or making the shelter expandable in the future isn’t viable.
Reinhard says the Missouri Shores Board is looking to double down on fundraising efforts to try and fill what is now a one-and-a-half million dollar funding gap.
