Ingram Named NCAA DII All-American

BROOKFIELD, IL (NSUWolves.com) — The Don Hansen Football Committee released the 2023 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America team on Monday afternoon with Northern State wide receiver Dewaylon Ingram honored. Ingram landed on the offensive second team following his final season with the Wolves.

Ingram started all 11 games in 2023, tallying 1,220 yards receiving with a team leading 11 touchdowns. The Texan averaged 110.9 yards per contest and 17.4 yards per reception. He recorded six 100-plus yard games, racking up a season high 187 in the opener against Duluth. In addition, he led the NCAA in receiving yards per game and ranked fifth in total yards. The senior closes out his time at Northern State as the single school record holder with 1,220 yards in 2023; breaking his own record of 1,161 set in 2021. He ranks third all-time in career receiving yards (2,381) and second all-time in career receiving touchdowns (25). Ingram is a 2-time All-NSIC performer and 2-time Don Hansen All-America team member.

The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988.
