KENNEBEC, S.D. (Press Release) – A Shenandoah, Iowa man died Friday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash east of Kennebec, S.D.

A 2008 Dodge Ram pickup was westbound on Interstate 90 when the driver, 70-year-old Clarence Wilson, lost control and the vehicle went into the ditch. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.

The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
