BROOKINGS, S.D.(KBRK)- South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley is running for Congress and visited Brookings Tuesday.

Jackley says his recent experience sponsoring state legislation could help him if elected to Congress.

He’d also like to work at the federal level to reduce the flow of illegal drugs.

Jackley said more can be done to address gas prices and the affordability crisis.

Jackley and Democrat Nikki Gronli are vying for the seat currently held by Congressman Dusty Johnson, who did not seek re-election to Congress.
