James L. Mindeman, 89, Ashley, ND, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 21, 2025 at his home surrounded by  his wife and dogs. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Carlsen-Lien Chapel, Ashley, led by Pastor Jacob Kirschenman. Burial will be at Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery, Barney, ND.

James is survived by Fay, his wife of 35 years; three daughters—Val (James) Marsch of McGregor, MN, Tracy (Robert) Nelson of Mounds View, MN, and Sheila Harms of Columbia Heights, MN; one sister, Sandra (John) Walstrom of Minneapolis, MN; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his two dogs—Mocha and Bear-whom miss James dearly.

James’s service will be livestreamed at the Lien Family Funeral Care Facebook page.
