ABERDEEN, S.D.(Aberdeen Insider)- Jason Hill has been hired as the new executive director of the Aberdeen Area Arts Council, according to an announcement from the group.

He starts his new position on Dec. 18.

Hill is a Northern State University graduate and has lived in Aberdeen for the past 25 years. He has a background working for nonprofit groups, government agencies and private businesses. Much of his free time is spent volunteering for Special Olympics and other events.
