PIERRE, S.D.(Press Release)—Edmunds County Clerk of Court Jean Hutson has been selected as the new circuit court administrator for the Fifth Judicial Circuit in Aberdeen. Hutson has worked for the Unified Judicial System since 2013 and has been involved in various committees and workgroups during her time with the courts.

Hutson has a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a minor in human resource management from Presentation College. She has also completed the Certified Court Manager Program with the National Center for State Courts.

Hutson will begin her new role as circuit court administrator on May 27, 2025. Fifth Judicial Circuit’s current circuit court administrator, Susan Bobzien is retiring on June 8, 2025.

The Fifth Judicial Circuit serves Brown, Campbell, Day, Edmunds, Faulk, Marshall, McPherson, Roberts, Spink and Walworth counties.
