ASHTON, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Annual Jim River Days will take place Aug. 30-Sept. 2 at the Jim River Ranch located seven miles northeast Redfield and eight miles southeast of Ashton.

The event has been around for about a half dozen years and features a variety of activities for people of all ages, according to Jesse Wright, owner of the ranch.

This year’s event will also feature a poker run starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 at the bar in Ashton.

Wright said that as many as 200 people have camped out in the past, some from as far away as Minnesota. He said it is an affordable family-friendly experience.

Wright said that Jim River Days is designed for people to relax, enjoy the area and have a fun time.
