WASHINGTON, D.C.(Press Release) – On Tuesday, the Select Committee on the China voted to pass its report addressing America’s economic and technological competition with the Chinese Communist Party, which includes the PRC Accountability and Divestment Act, led by U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.).
“Bankrolling the growth of China’s economy is a direct threat to American values,” said Johnson. “The Select Committee’s thoughtful and targeted economic recommendations will lessen our reliance on China without blindly decoupling, which would pose risks to our own economy.”
Johnson introduced the PRC Accountability and Divestment Act in November with the support of Governor Kristi Noem. Read Johnson and Noem’s op-ed here.
