WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – President Trump is pushing Congress to approve an economic rescue package that could top one trillion dollars.

South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson says they know help is needed quickly.

Johnson says while direct payments make a lot of sense, Congress has to have a plan in place to do that.

Johnson says there are a number of proposals on the table.

Administration officials have warned Members of Congress that unemployment could reach twenty percent due to the business disruptions from the coronavirus outbreak.
