Johnson pleased USDA investigation moving ahead

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Speaking on the House floor last week, South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson said he’s pleased the USDA is moving ahead with their investigation into the cattle markets and the price drop that occurred after fire destroyed a Kansas meat packing plant.

He says cattle producers are looking for answers that that investigation needs to provide.

Johnson says from what he’s observed, USDA is proceeding properly with their investigation and needs to keep seeking answers to why the cattle markets dropped following the fire.

Johnson says in Washington, there are two types of investigations, those for show and those that are real. He believes this one by the USDA is for real and it’s good it is because cattle producers deserve it.
