WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – The U.S. and China signed the “Phase One” trade deal Wednesday and will now move on to negotiations on “Phase Two.”
South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson says the U.S. got some significant concessions.
Johnson says there have already been some ag benefits from the easing of trade tensions.
Johnson says details of the deal will matter.
The deal calls for China to buy about $12 billion of U.S. ag products this year and about 19 billion next year.
