WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – As tensions rise between the U.S. and Iran, some Members of Congress are calling for changes to the “Authorization for the Use of Military Force.”
South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson says that was passed a long time ago.
Johnson says a lot has changed around the world since then.
Johnson says most Members of Congress don’t want to give the President a blank check.
The authorization that allows the President use of military force was passed in 2001.
