PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The Joint Committee on Appropriations has set the revenue targets they will be working with as they attempt to write a state budget for next year.
Committee member, Representative Linda Duba of Sioux Falls says it’s a big target.
Duba says there will be hundreds of millions of dollars flowing through the state, producing more sales and use taxes.
Duba says they see projections of those revenues slowing in future years.
The Governor recommended five percent increases for state employes, aid to education and community service providers in her budget.
