PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- A joint meeting of the South Dakota Board of Regents, Board of Technical Education and the Board of Educational Standards was held yesterday in Pierre.

Nick Wendell, Executive Director of the Board of Technical Education, had a report on the numbers of state residents with some post high school education or training.

Wendell says the post high school numbers are skewed by location.

Wendell says the state’s population trails all the surrounding states.

The meeting was held to better understand how the states universities, technical colleges and K – 12 schools can cooperate and streamline their connections.
