Jordan-Mondo makes plea deal

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Tanisha Renee Jordan-Mondo, 39, of Aberdeen, has pleaded guilty, but mentally ill to first-degree manslaughter in the death of Michelle Ladner of Aberdeen.

Jordan-Mondo entered into the plea agreement Wednesday at the Brown County Courthouse. As a part of the deal murder charges will be dropped.

Charges stem from July 19, 2018, when Ladner, 37, was found at her apartment with stab wounds to her neck and arm. She died July 25 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

First-degree manslaughter carries a maximum sentence of life in prison and a $50,000 fine.
