The funeral service for Joyce Pfitzer, 89, of Groton, SD (formerly of Java, SD), will be 11:00am, Thursday, September 18, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Java, SD, with Pastor Brian Nies officiating. Burial will follow at UCC Cemetery, Java, SD. Joyce died Friday, September 5, at Avantara Groton.

Visitation will be 4:00pm to 5:30pm, Wednesday, September 17, with a prayer service at 5:30pm, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 South Main Street.
