ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Boys and Girls Club of Aberdeen Area’s Annual Banquet and 50th Anniversary Celebration is set for Friday, Feb. 21. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Dakota Event Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Mike Sommers, Club President, talked about this year’s guest speaker.

The Club annually brings in big-name speakers. Sommers explained how that transpires.

Tickets are going quickly, according to Mike Herman, Executive Director of the Club.

He said the banquet is one of five main fundraisers throughout the year, but this one is important in that it recognizes the accomplishments of the Club members and volunteers.

Because it is the 50th Anniversary Celebration, Herman said this year’s events will take on a special feel.
