Indianapolis, IN (NSUWolves.com)– In her first event from the NCAA National Swimming Championships, Northern State senior Hannah Kastigar finished as the National Runner-up. The Aberdeen native took second overall in the 200 IM, finishing one place higher than her 2017 appearance.
Kastigar qualified for finals with the third fastest preliminaries time of 2:00.31. She then swam to a time of 1:59.78 in the championship heat, trailing the national champion by under two seconds. Her mark was just 0.73 seconds off her school record mark set back in 2016-17. The runner-up finish is the fifth All-American honor of her Northern State career.
