The funeral service for Kevin Adams, 55, of Aberdeen, SD, will be 10:30am, Monday, November 2, 2026, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, with Pastor Gilbert Vilhauer officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Aberdeen. Kevin died Saturday, October 24, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Sunday, November 1, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 South Main Street, Aberdeen.

Kevin Adams was born on November 6, 1970, to John F. and Marie Anne (Kainer) Adams in Aberdeen, SD. He attended C.C.Lee, the Seventh-day Adventist Church School, and Dakota Adventist Academy in Bismarck, ND, graduating in 1989. After graduation he worked for his father for Nitro-Green. Kevin worked at House of Glass for many years and was last working at Harbor Freight.

Kevin married Michelle Erickson on July 31, 1999, in Aberdeen. They had two children, Maggie and James, who were the pride of his life.

Kevin was a very talented musician. He was a member of a rock and roll band where he played electric guitar, saxophone, piano and sang. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his twin brother Kerry. Kevin was quite the handy man and was always working on a project. He had an adventurous spirit and loved the outdoors. He built his own mountain bike and enjoyed trail rides.

Grateful for having shared Kevin’s life are his children: Maggie Adams and James Adams; parents John F. & Marie Anne Adams: sisters Heidi (Barry) Hehn and Holli (Kevin) Devnich; nieces: Amanda (Austin) Sutten and their daughter Scotland, Isabelle Devnich, Emersyn Devnich; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding Kevin in death are his grandparents; Fred and Martha Adams and Adam and Magdalena Kainer, and his twin brother Kerry.
