Kippley, Sutton, Dennert, Perry lead in early returns

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Results are coming in from today’s election.

Here are some early totals:

In the race for Brown County Commissioner (two members will be elected): Rachel Kippley-R 7,037 (37%), Duane Sutton-R 6,444 (34%), Michael E. Nehls-D 5,411 (29%).

In the race for State Representative District 3 (two members will be elected): Drew Dennert-R 4,926 (31.9%), Carl Perry-R 4,298 (27.8%), Leslie McLaughlin-D 3,169 (20.5%), Justin Roemmick-D 3,041 (19.7%).

In the race for State Representative District 1 (two members will be elected): Tamara St. John-R 2,683 (40.9%), Steven D. McCleerey-D 2,021 (30.8%), Jennifer Healy Keintz-D 1,852 (28.2 %).

In the race for State Representative District 2 (two members will be elected): Kaleb W. Weis-R 1,083 (51%), Lana Greenfield-R 1,030 (49%).

In the race for State Senator District 1: Michael H. Rohl-R 2,677 (55.5%); Susan Wismer-D 2,144 (44.5%).

State Senator District 2: Brock L. Greenfield-R, unopposed .

State Senator District 3: Al Novstrup-R (unopposed)

In the race for United States Senator: Mike Rounds-R 24,717 (66.6%), Dan Ahlers-D 12,379 (33.4%).

In the race for United States Representative: Dusty Johnson-R 29,248 (83.1%), Randy “Uriah) L. Luallin-D 5,944 (16.9%).

In the race for Public Utilities Commissioner: Gary Hanson-R 78,027 (70.6%), Remi W.B. Bald Eagle-D 27,011 (24.4%), Devin Saxon-L 5,498 (5%).

Supreme Court Retention: Yes, 8,746 (82%), No 1,867 (18%).

Constitutional Amendment A (medical marijuana): Yes 78,499 (68%), No 36,915 (32%)

Constitutional Amendment B (sports betting): Yes 63,661 (56.1%), No 49.756 (43.9%).

Initiated Measure 26 (recreational marijuana): Yes 59,122 (51.4%), No 55,802 (48.6%).

Charter Amendment (home rule charter): Yes 5,002 (64%), No 2,831 (36%).
