Kraft & Adams Named NSIC Players Of The Week

Burnsville, MN (NSUWolves.com) – In the second installment of the 2026 NSIC Football Weekly releases, Northern State lands two on the league awards following the 31-16 win over Winona State. Hank Kraft repeats as the league’s Offensive Player of the Week, while Jake Adams grabs his first Defensive Player of the Week honors of the season.

NSIC Offensive Player of the Week – #21 Hank Kraft (RB, 5-9, 215, 5th, Timber Lake, S.D. / Timber Lake HS)
– Led the NSIC in rushing yards for the second straight week
– Tallied a league leading 247 rushing yards with 18 points scored with his three touchdowns in the Wolves win over Winona State
– Averaged 11.8 yards per carry with a long of 92 yards
– Added 33 yards receiving, including one receiving score
– His 92-yard touchdown run ranks second all-time at Northern State in longest rushing score
– Named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row

NSIC Defensive Player of the Week – #54 Jake Adams (LB, 6-0, 235, Sr., Pulaski, Wis. / Pulaski HS)
– Led the NSIC with 17 total tackles in the Wolves win over Winona State
– His 17 stops were a season high for the linebacker
– Tallied 11 solo stops in the process and recorded four third down tackles
– Averaging 12.5 tackles per game through the opening weeks of the season

SIOUX FALLS, SD (NSUWolves.com) – Following back-to-back NSIC Offensive Player of the Week awards and two wins for the Wolves, Northern State running back Hank Kraft is the D2Football.com National Offensive Player of the Week as released by the organization.

For the second week in a row, Northern State’s Hank Kraft led the NSIC in rushing. He carried the ball 21 times and amassed 247 yards while also scoring three total touchdowns. Kraft kicked off the scoring with a 92-yard scoring run in the first quarter. He added a 53-yard scoring rush in the fourth quarter. In between, he also caught a 3-yard pass for a touchdown. It was one of six pass receptions on the day. Kraft has rushed for 482 yards and six touchdowns through only two games. He currently ranks first in the nation in all-purpose yards per game (280.50), total rushing yards (482), rushing touchdowns (6), and rushing yards per game (241.0), as well as third in scoring (21.0/gm) and ninth in total points scored (42).
