SD Dept of Health reports 4 new COVID-19 related deaths

PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio.com) – The state reported 4 new COVID-related deaths, while active cases & hospitalizations decreased, according to figures released by the South Dakota Department of Health. Governor Noem signs “Evil Foreign Governments” Bill into Law

Hughes & Haakon Counties couldn’t reach agreement on a jail contract

PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The Hughes County Commission has tabled a request to approve a jail contract with Haakon County.  Commissioner Tom Rounds questioned why such agreements with other counties are needed. Philip man sentenced to ten year suspended on mulitple charges

PHILIP, S.D.(KCCR)- A 50 year-old Philip man has been sentenced to 10 years on multiple criminal files in Haakon County. However, Todd Thorson was given suspended prison time by Sixth Circuit Judge Christina Klinger. Thorson was first sentenced to five years in prison in 2020 for ingesting methamphetamine.
