SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – Two of Sioux Falls’ largest network affiliates are joining forces to operate as one brand, under the name Dakota News Now. According to the Argus Leader, the owner of KSFY-TV purchased news station KDLT, merging the two news networks.
The merger between KSFY and KDLT is believed to be the first to test the new regulations approved by the FCC, allowing top-four stations to merge regardless if they have been competitors for the same local audience. Dakota News Now is set to go live today.
