KANSAS CITY, M.O.(WNAX)- La Nina, the cooling of the Pacific Ocean surface, which has an impact on North American weather has faded away.
Doug Kluck, Regional Climate Service Director for the National Weather Service in Kansas City says those temperatures have normalized.
Kluck says La Nina may reappear later this year, but it will take a few months to sort that out.
Kluck says a swing to El Nino, a warming of the surface temperatures, is not likely in the next year.
