LINCOLN, N.E.(WNAX)- While warm, dry weather for the most part is forecast into the middle of October, the climate experts are taking guesses on what winter may bring.
Brian Fuchs, a climatologist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, says another La Nina is predicted.
A La Nina occurs when Pacific Ocean surface temperatures cool and that has an impact on North American weather.
Fuchs says the climate outlooks reflect the La Nina chances.
Last winter had some cold temperatures but didn’t bring as much snow as some past La Nina years.
