PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The Labor Day weekend marks the unofficial end of summer and thousands will be on the move for summers last harrah. Shawn Steward with Triple-A South Dakota says this weekend travel should be better than last year.
Gas prices have made a major u-turn since Labor Day 2023.
Steward says gas prices have been surprisingly stable.
Crude oil prices make up approximately 60-percent of the cost of a gallon of gas. Triple-A does not release travel estimates for the Labor Day weekend but will for the Thranksgiving travel period.
