PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The lack of a budget agreement in Washington has the South Dakota Department of Transportation waiting on updated funding levels for this year.

Department Secretary Joel Jundt updated the Transportation Board last week.

Jundt says it appears they may have full funding by the start of the construction season.

Jundt says they will share any increase in base funding with local governments.

Earlier estimates were that the state could see an extra three hundred million dollars in federal infrastructure funding.
