SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- A number of setbacks have led Summit Carbon Solutions to ask for a delay on its application to build a Carbon Capture pipeline through South Dakota.
Still, Lake County landowners aren’t taking any chances.
Lake County farmer Aaron Johnson is among those circulating a petition to establish zoning regulations to control the location, in the event Summit Carbon finds a way to get the project back on track.
Johnson says the petition effort became necessary, because the Lake County Commission refused to take action to establish zoning regulations for the pipeline project.
