ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) – Presentation College has named Dr. Paula Langteau as Interim President. Dr. Langteau has 28 years of experience in higher education, with a focus on growing small campus enrollment by implementing innovative, market-responsive programming and institutional branding.
In making this announcement, Presentation College Board of Trustees President, Dave Giovannini, said, “We are very happy to have found someone of Dr. Langteau’s caliber to lead Presentation College as its Interim President. Dr. Langteau brings the energy, experience and vision necessary to lead the college as it addresses the changing needs of our students in support of the College’s mission of service.”
Currently, a Principal Consultant for Academic Game Changers Consulting, LLC., Dr. Langteau has been assisting Minnesota State Advanced Manufacturing Center for Excellence and faculty from 19 separate Minnesota State campuses in developing the curriculum for three new consortia programs.
Previously, she served interim leadership roles for Bemidji State’s NTC campus and for the University of Wisconsin Colleges in its transition from a campus-based to a regional leadership model.
Dr. Langteau said, “I am delighted to be joining Presentation College and eager to be a part of the beautiful Aberdeen community. I look forward to meeting with community members and discovering new ways that Presentation College can serve Aberdeen, becoming an ever more visible and vital contributor to community success.” She will begin her role at Presentation on October 1.
From 2004-2015, Dr. Langteau served as Campus Executive Officer, at UW-Marinette, providing leadership to academic programs, student services, enrollment management, finance, facilities, marketing, fundraising and community relations for the 500-student campus.
Dr. Langteau served as Dean of Instruction and Dean of Teaching and Learning at Nicolet College, from 2001-2004. In this role, she managed the academic Health Occupations programs, initiated and implemented seven shared program agreements, implemented a laddered nursing curriculum and initiated and implemented the accreditation process for nursing programs.
As Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Georgia Perimeter College, she designed and implemented comprehensive faculty training to offer the first online degrees at the College. Also at Georgia Perimeter, she was a tenured Associate Professor of English for 12 years.
Dr. Langteau began her academic career as an Instructor of English at Ball State University, where she also served as Faculty Development Specialist.

Dr. Langteau completed her Ed.D. in Higher Education Management at University of Pennsylvania, and The Institute for Educational Management at Harvard. She completed all Ph.D. coursework in English, and earned her M.A. in English, at Ball State University. She earned her B.A. in English at Eureka College, Illinois.
Dr. Langteau and her husband, Dr. Leo Hodlofski, have two children, who are eager to visit Aberdeen on their breaks from school. Nicholas is a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Galen is a senior at Wayland Academy.
Dr. Maggie Huber, who has served as Presentation College President since January 2012, announced her retirement on August 1.
