YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – The Lewis & Clark State Recreation Area near Yankton, coming off another record year for visitation and camping, also has a new manager.
Kristina Laska, a Centerville native transferred to the park this fall to be the new manager. She says she is quickly learning about the facility and found they are still pretty busy.
Laska says parts of the park will stay open.
There are improvements made every year and Laska says they have some planned for next year.
Laska previously worked for the Game, Fish and Parks Department at Newton Hills near Canton and at Lake Poinsett Recreation Area near Estelline.
