PIERRE, S.D. (KELO) – Lawmakers are examining Medicaid Expansion numbers, which have been lagging in South Dakota.

Representative Linda Duba of Sioux Falls expressed concern about the high number of people who lost Medicaid coverage after the COVID emergency ended.

The legislature provided enough funding for 50-thousand people to enroll in Medicaid after coverage was expanded in July.

So far, numbers haven’t come close to matching that.
