ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- After last week’s Candidate Forums for school board, county, and city council, we have decided that we need to allow more time for each session at the upcoming Legislative Candidate Forum. As a reminder, the forum will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, still starting at 9:00 am, but now wrapping up at 1:20 pm instead of 12:00 pm. We have added a ½ hour to each session. I hope that this change does not impact your ability to attend. Once again, we will be in the Kessler’s Champions Club in the Barnett Center at NSU.

District 3 Candidates
9:00 am–10:20 am
District 3 Senate: Rachel Dix and Al Novstrup
District 3 House: Emily Meier, Carl Perry, Rick Rylance, Brandei Schaefbauer, and Kaleb Weis
District 1 Candidates
10:30 am—11:50 am
District 1 Senate: Joe Donnell and Michael Rohl
District 1 House: Logan Manhart, Steven McCleerey, and Tamara St. John
District 23 Candidates
12:00 pm- 1:20 pm
District 23 Senate: Bryan Breitling and Spencer Gosch
District 23 House: Brandon Black, Gregory Brooks, Scott Moore, and James Wangsness
As a reminder, all candidates running for House and Senate will have the opportunity to make 2-minute opening remarks, address submitted questions from attendees, and make 1-minute closing remarks. The forum will be moderated by Katie Washnok, 2022 Chamber Board of Directors Chair-Elect.
