Legislative Forum addressing SB201 in Leola Thursday

LEOLA, S.D.(Press Release)– McPherson County has been at the tip of the spear on the issue of the carbon dioxide pipeline since 2021. This issue was the central topic of many bills in the SD Legislature this year. A bill, SB201, passed in the legislature regarding the issue of the carbon dioxide pipeline and local control.

A Candidate Forum focusing on SB201 will be held in Leola, Thursday, May 2, at 7:00, at the Leola Legion Hall with District 23 current legislators and those candidates vying for their seats. We are asking the current legislators to defend their vote on SB201; and are asking the candidates their thoughts on SB201 and how they would have voted.
