YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – A legislator who spent the summer on an interim committee studying the illegal drug situation is hoping South Dakota’s new “Meth, I’m On It” campaign will help.
Senator Craig Kennedy of Yankton says they found a growing need for more meth treatment options.
Kennedy says they are looking at possibly expanding some current treatment programs.
Kennedy says they found through the study that early intervention is critical.
The anti-meth campaign has gone viral on social media and gained national attention, not all positive.
