YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- While South Dakota legislators approved the spending plan for the next fiscal year, committees will be keeping an eye on how those dollars are spent.

Senator Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says they passed a solid budget.

Hunhoff, Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Appropriations, says they will meet during the interim to see how programs are doing.

Hunhoff says she is especially interested in new nursing buildings and programs.

Nursing programs and facilities will be expanded in Aberdeen and Rapid City.
