CANTON, S.D. (WNAX) – South Dakota legislators will again be studying the expansion and costs of special education this summer.
Senator Jim Bolin of Canton is Vice-Chair of the committee and says it will be a wider study than last year’s.
Bolin says the demand for special education has expanded quickly in the last 10 years.
Bolin says a special fund set up to help schools pay for special education is being drained rapidly.
The schedule for the committee has not yet been set.
