ABERDEEN, SD (NSUWolves.com) – Northern State secured its third sweep of the season, taking down the Cougars of Minnesota Morris 3-0 and 4-0 in the doubleheader.

GAME ONE: NORTHERN STATE 3, MINNESOTA MORRIS 0
- In NSU’s first of two shutouts, the Wolves recorded three runs on eight hits, three RBIs, three doubles, one error, six strikeouts from the rubber, 21 putouts and 10 assists
- The Wolves chalked their first of three runs in the bottom of the second, which was started off by a Kinsley Stover double down the right field line
- With Stover on third courtesy of an advancement from Tevan Bryant, Kennedy Boyer picked up the RBI with a single to left center, bringing Stover in for the score
- Northern State would touch home two more times in the fourth, first with an Aune Boben RBI double, bringing Boyer around from second base
- With two outs gone, freshman Sydney Anderson sent one up the middle to bring Boben home for Northern State’s final run of the game
- McKenzie Wanner tallied another complete game, sending six batters back to the dugout and allowing just two hits throughout the game

- The Wolves picked up four runs on six hits, four RBIs, one home run, one double, two stolen bases, one error, seven strikeouts from the rubber, 21 putouts and 10 assists
- Batting leadoff, Boben sent a bomb over the left field fence to open up the bottom of the first inning, with Jeanson advancing to second off an error in the following at-bat
- After Anderson struck out, Bryant brought Jeanson home with an RBI single to center to put two on the board early
- The game would stay 2-0 until the bottom of the sixth, when Bryant smacked a leadoff double to center to get the bats moving in the sixth
- With Brooke Wolf pinch-running for Bryant, Hailey Cota recorded a single, advancing Wolf to third
- Cota would enter scoring position with Stover at the plate, tallying NSU’s second stolen base of the game
- Stover put the ball in play, sending it through the right side to bring in Wolf from third and Cota from second for NSU’s final two scores of the day
