Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health looking to expand

YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- A project for Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health will expand mental health services in southeast South Dakota.

Tom Stanage, Executive Director of Lewis & Clark, appeared before the Yankton City Commission this week.

Stanage says they will be able to offer more immediate mental health services.

Stanage says there are a number of details to work out.

The commission agreed to transfer the adjacent city owned land to Yankton Thrive, who in turn will give it to Lewis & Clark. The agency serves residents in seven counties and has outreach offices in Lake Andes and Vermillion.
