Lewis & Clark Regional Water Project looking toward American Relief Plan to finish the project

VERMILLION, S.D.(WNAX)- With all the attention at the state and federal level on funding infrastructure, a long-time ongoing project is ready to jump to the front of the line.

Troy Larson, Executive Director of the Lewis & Clark Regional Water Project says their completion is shovel ready.

Larson says full funding of their construction would save money over all.

Larson says they have itemized projects in Iowa and South Dakota.

Larson says they are prepared to bid out and start construction on all of the remaining segments if the funding is approved.

The project is delivering water to towns and cities in South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota from wells near the Missouri River south of Vermillion.
