YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- While the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System will get over ninety million dollars in federal funding this year for construction of the pipeline backbone, they are also planning for an expansion of their water production capabilities.
Executive Director Troy Larson says they are moving on upgrading their water plant.
Larson says the expansion will be paid totally by the members and some federal ARPA funding.
Larson says the ARPA money will help hold down future water rates.
Larson says they also plan to bring a major new well online by June to help meet the growing water demand from the three state system.
