YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The Lewis & Clark Regional Water System is getting a big federal financial boost this year in the quest to finish the three-state water system.
Executive Director Troy Larson says this funding will get them close to the end.
They will get close to one hundred million dollars in total this year.
Larson says the federal infrastructure funding will make a big difference.
Larson says the project has a long history.
The project pumps water from wells near the Missouri River south of Vermillion to towns and cities in South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota.
