WATERTOWN, S.D.(KWAT)- The task force studying where to build a new men’s prison in South Dakota will have at least one option in Sioux Falls to consider.
Task force chairman and Lieutenant Governor Tony Venhuizen confirms with KWAT News that real estate brokers representing the vacant Citibank campus and the multiple buildings on that site have reached out to him to talk about the merits of that property.
The former Citibank campus was listed for sale last year at just under $34 million.
Venhuizen says he expects the task force will probably have 6 to 10 sites to consider.
The task force meets again April 29th in Springfield.
