ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Protests have taken place throughout the country following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last week. Many times, the protests take a turn and become violent, such as the case was in Fargo, N.D., on Saturday and Sioux Falls on Sunday.

Aberdeen had more a peaceful protest on Sunday, but Mayor Travis Schaunaman is preparing for the upcoming weekend.

Schaunaman believes that people are showing up with a “malicious intent.”

He said a lot of people have good intentions, but that often people cross the line.
