YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Local governments across the state are pushing to finish up their budgets by next month.

Yankton City Manager Amy Leon says they are working on a very tight time line.

Leon says because of the deadline, they are missing some important financial information.

Leon, who is a vice president of the municipal league, says they would like to see some changes.

The city commission will adopt the 2021 budget at their first meeting in September.
