Local leaders look for ways to slow down virus

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – COVID-19 totals continue to soar throughout South Dakota and that has led community leaders to look at ways to help slow the spread of the virus.

Brown County Emergency Manager Scott Meints said numbers in Brown County have definitely gone up.

Meints met with both the city and county this past week to discuss the matter.

He said a big concern for him is that hospital workers are beginning to wear down.

The Aberdeen City Council is scheduled to discuss the mask issue at Monday night’s meeting.

Meints said it’s not just about mask wearing, but following other CDC guidelines as well.
