Long-range weather outlook calls for cold, wet spring

CHICAGO, Ill. (WNAX) – While most of the region will have a mild weekend, the longer-range outlooks are variable at best.

Illinois State Climatologist Trent Ford moderated the monthly north central regional climate update and says the next two weeks will cool off again.

Ford says March could be cool and wet for most of the region.

Ford says the forecast for March, April and May is not very spring like.

The outlooks continue the flood threat across the northern plains.
