MITCHELL, S.D.(KYNT)- A summer that was feared to be hot and dry has turned almost completely around.
SDSU State Climatologist Laura Edwards says it was a drought busting season.
Edwards says the south central part of the state around Winner is about the only area showing dry conditions.
She says there has been one shared complaint.
Edwards says predicted hot temperatures did not develop.
Edwards says a La Nina is predicted to develop this fall which could lead to more snow and colder temperatures this winter.
