Looking like soggy start to May

AMES, Iowa (WNAX) – It looks like a soggy end to April will transition into a soggy start to May.

Dennis Todey, head of the Midwest Climate Hub (in Ames, Iowa) says the forecasts into the middle of May don’t show much change.

Todey says the storm track has been stuck in the same pattern for quite a while.

Todey says it looks like a wide region will see more rain.

Todey says they still expect effects of the ongoing El Nino to hang around into mid-summer. That could translate into below normal temperatures and above normal precipitation.
